Insyde™ Software and KingTiger™ Technology Partner to Improve the Reliability of Computing Systems
BIOS-Based Joint Solution Provides a New Level of System Memory Reliability Resulting in Improved Customer Satisfaction and Lower Support Costs
INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM – SHENZHEN CHINA, APRIL 8, 2015 –Insyde™ Software, one of the world’s leading providers of UEFI BIOS and firmware tools and KingTiger Technology, a leading designer of Test Equipment for the memory semiconductor industry today announced they are partnering to solve the leading cause of failures in computing systems worldwide.
As a result of the collaboration by the two companies, KingTiger’s iMS™ (Intelligent Memory Surveillance) technology which detects and prevents computer memory failures before they occur will be integrated into Insyde Software’s flagship UEFI BIOS product, InsydeH2O. Through this approach, iMS running from within the BIOS can dramatically improve computer reliability and significantly lower manufacturers’ memory related returns and support costs, all without impacting the computer user experience.
The low-level software solution that will come from the two companies’ joint efforts will perform memory surveillance, failure prediction and detection allowing problematic memory to be masked off during system power-on. In addition, Insyde Software and KingTiger will leverage the technology to allow Insyde Software’s BIOS tools to provide deep-cycle memory testing to be used during the manufacturing burn-in process.
